This year, the “Riga Food 2023” exhibition took place from September 7 to 9 in Ķipsala, in the BT1 exhibition hall. It was a real celebration of the food industry – the taste buds were delighted, several important deals were concluded, and collaborations started.

More than 420 companies from 30 countries presented the latest products and services at “Riga Food 2023”. At the exhibition, you could visit the national collective stands of 9 countries – Latvia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Georgia, Canada and Moldova.

This year the Entrepreneurship Center of the Kurzeme Planning Region also participated in the exhibition, as well as the participants of Talsu, Saldus, Tukums and Ventspils municipalities, whose participation was co-financed within the framework of our implemented project no. LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Entrepreneurship support measures in the Kurzeme planning region”.

The President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs also visited our stand.

Such food fairs are a great opportunity for companies and municipalities to showcase their products and support local business. Ltd. “KUULE” and ltd. “Kandavas Vīna nams” have also used the co-financing of the project to participate in the exhibition, whose manager admitted that participation in the exhibition was very valuable for them, they met many potential customers.

Next year, the “Riga Food 2024” exhibition is scheduled for September 5-7.

The participation in exhibition of Talsi, Saldus, Tukums and Ventspils county municipalities financed within the framework of the project no. LV-LOCALDEV-0004 “Entrepreneurship support measures in the Kurzeme Planning Region” (“Entrepreneurship in Kurzeme”). The project is co-financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, through EEA grants in the Local Development, Poverty Reduction and Cultural Cooperation program.
